Celebrating NDEAM 2021

This month, businesses across the nation will exhibit their commitment to tackling disability employment issues in support of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM).

Brought to you by the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), of the U.S. Department of Labor, NDEAM 2021’s theme is “America’s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion”. 

According to ODEP, this year’s theme “reflects the importance of ensuring that people with disabilities have full access to employment and community involvement during the national recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic”. 

At Chronically Capable, we’ve always been committed to creating equal opportunities for the chronic illness and disability community to find and retain meaningful work. That’s why we are proud to not only support NDEAM 2021, but to offer events and resources for both job seekers and employers to join us in our efforts to create a more inclusive workplace for all.

Weekly Mindfulness Class

In this 8 week class series running from Sept 29th 2021 - Nov 17th 2021, Noa Porten, a meditation and mindfulness teacher in training living with chronic illness, will demystify meditation and mindfulness with accessible practices that can serve as tools for living and working alongside chronic illness and disability. 

Wednesday nights at 7 pm CDT / 8 pm EST / 5 pm PST from September 29th through November 17th. Register here
