Fractured Atlas empowers artists, arts organizations, and other cultural sector stakeholders by eliminating practical barriers to artistic expression, so as to foster a more agile and resilient cultural ecosystem. WHAT DOES THAT REALLY MEAN? Good question. We're a national organization that supports folks at every level of the cultural ecosystem. Mostly that includes individual artists — performing, visual, literary, design, media, and everything in between — and arts organizations — from one-person outfits to the biggest of the big. If any of that sounds like you, then Fractured Atlas can help you run your business more efficiently, with more, better resources at your fingertips. That means you've got more time, energy, and money to dedicate to making art. (And isn't that the point?) Fractured Atlas is non-curatorial. That means we do not discriminate, nor do we judge your art. That's not our job. We're here to help with the "unsexy" stuff that helps make art happen. We can also help institutional funders, policymakers, and others refine their 30,000 foot view of the field. New technology development, cultural asset mapping, research and data analysis, and advisory services inform your work and help you make smarter, more strategic decisions. Our office may be in New York, but everything we do has a national reach. (We've even got members outside the US.) Whether you're in a small town, a big city, or the middle of nowhere, all of our services are just a click away.
At Fractured Atlas, we work hard towards supporting our mission but we also understand that work is just one part of life and support team members having full and robust lives outside of work. Our organizational culture embraces people who: • Are curious and excited by opportunities to better our services, our systems, and ourselves. • Seek out challenging problems and are comfortable with high-risk, high-impact efforts. • Are agile, creative problem solvers with a focus on concrete results. • Invest their time in quality work and giving others their respect and support. Additionally, at Fractured Atlas we work to adhere to anti-oppression and anti-racism principles in all areas of our internal and external work. This commitment is grounded in our belief that change is possible, and that our work and that of the artistic community as a whole will grow stronger as oppression is eliminated. We ask that new team members join us as we continue to learn and grow together. Learn more about what it’s like to work at Fractured Atlas here.
