Aurie is a seed-stage healthcare start-up whose mission is to partner with the disability community to co-develop products & services that improve freedom & independence, quality of life, and health. Our first product is a safely reusable no-touch intermittent catheter system for people who use intermittent catheters to urinate. Aurie found its start after founder Souvik Paul's sister-in-law sustained a spinal cord injury in a car accident, started to use catheters to urinate, and developed urinary tract infections as a result.
Aurie has a remote-first workplace, with employees in New York, Boston, Florida, New Jersey, and Minnesota. We primarily connect and communicate through Zoom, Slack, and email, and have taken care to build an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming work environment. Giving and receiving feedback is important at Aurie, even with pressing deadlines and a lot of work to get done! We maintain a high standard of excellence for all employees.
